A new Facebook group has started with the intent of raising awareness that good dogs, like good people, make good tenants. Using Toronto as a role model for Winnipeg, the Winnipeg Humane Society has suggested to local landlords that they adopt the same policies that make T.O. the most pet-friendly city in Canada such as implementing careful screening of prospective tenants on a case by case basis, thus giving each prospective tenant a chance to prove they are responsible pet owners.
